Honda's sales in Indonesia in April Reaches 55 071 units

Honda's sales in Indonesia during 2015 has reached 55 071 units with a market share of 15.1 percent entering April 2015. Of the total sales of Honda, products such as the Honda HR-V 1.5-liter, the new Honda Brio and Honda City into a market leader in its segment respectively -masing.

"The contribution of products such as the Honda HR-V, Honda Brio, Honda Mobilio Honda Jazz and Honda managed to lift sales this year," said Marketing & Aftersales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Jonfis Fandy, in a press release received by AFP on Monday , May 18, 2015.

Of the contribution of sales of such products, Honda experienced a growth of approximately 112 percent over the same period last year, despite the current general market tends to stagnate. "Achievement of sales in the first four months of this year is a good start for Honda and we hope to continue this positive trend in the months ahead," said Jonfis.

Honda HR-V 1.5-liter managed to maintain its market leader position in the class LSUV after achieved sales of 2,500 units in April. With the addition of these sales, total sales of Honda HR-V 1.5 liters this year has been recorded at 12 713 units, with a market share of 47 percent in its class. While Honda HR-V 1.8-liter that is in the SUV segment achieved sales of 479 units in April, with total sales of 2,808 units and a market share of 13 percent.

New Honda Brio also maintain the position of market leader in the City Car class. With sales of 900 units in April, total sales of the new Honda Brio in this year has recorded as many as 3,696 units with a market share of 26 percent in its class. While Honda Brio Satya who are in class LCGC recorded sales of 1,812 units, thereby increasing the total sales in the year to 8945 units with a market share of 17 percent in its class.


Segment sedan, Honda City led sales in the segment of Mini Sedan with a market share of 58 percent. Having recorded sales of 211 units in April, Honda City has achieved total sales of 940 units throughout 2015. Meanwhile, Honda Civic sold 115 units with total sales of 410 units throughout 2015 and a market share of 43 percent in the Small class Sedan , Honda Accord sold 3 units with total sales of 270 units throughout 2015 and market share in class 18persen Medium Sedan. While the Honda CR-Z sold 20 units with total sales of 57 units throughout 2015 and sales leader in the Sport segment with a market share of 47 percent.

Honda Mobilio recorded sales of 2,388 units, with total sales in 2015 as many as 13 274 units and a market share of 15% in the segment LMPV. Honda Jazz sold over 629 units in the month of April, with a total of 6447 units throughout 2015 and a market share of 41persen in the hatchback segment.

Honda CR-V sold more than 681 units, with total sales of 3,975 units throughout 2015 and 18persen market share in the SUV segment. Honda Freed sold 818 units, with total sales of 1,414 units during 2015 and 7 percent market share in the MPV segment. Honda Odyssey sold 27 units with total sales of 122 units throughout 2015 and a market share of 5 per cent in Upper MPV segment.
